Humanity stands on the brink of extinction. Only one village remains—an island of safety in a world devoured by the creeping darkness of the Never. You are their last hope: an undying warrior spirit, embodied in living silver, with the strength to face the Never’s endless hordes.

Command the elements


The world of Never’s End is deeply simulated and completely interactive. Temperature, weather, wind, water level, and even the density of the earth beneath your feet can all be manipulated to gain the advantage in combat.

Drain rivers dry or flood the battlefield. Create rain and fog to hamper your enemies, or mighty winds to hurl them over cliffs. Freeze your foes or set them aflame. Reshape earth to gain the high ground, or melt it into deadly lava. Every battlefield is rife with opportunities—a well-placed spell can be the difference between victory and defeat.

Possess your party


Only you can survive the Never. Rather than recruiting allies, you must possess them—burning away their self and soul to turn them into living weapons. For each companion you gain, another life is lost: doomed to fight at your side until either you succeed, or they fall in battle.

Reclaim your world


Fight your way through an open world of rain-soaked jungles, blistering deserts, and freezing tundra as you explore the wreckage of a forgotten golden age. Cleanse corrupted settlements, awaken long-dormant temples, unearth lost technology, and then reap the rewards as civilization rebuilds in your wake.

Destroy the Never


Your path to victory is your own. Will you hunt fearsome beasts to upgrade your temples, or establish new towns to grow your ranks? Will you trade lives in search of greater power, or prove your skill by heading straight for the Never’s heart?

There are many ways to prepare for the final battle, but every choice has consequences. The longer you take, the more lives you’ll require… and the stronger the Never becomes.

Ryan Juckett

Director

Ryan is the game director and founded Hypersect in 2015. With over 20 years of experience, he worked on the Tony Hawk skateboarding series at Neversoft, and was the lead sandbox gameplay engineer on Destiny at Bungie.

Doseone

Audio

Doseone is the composer and sound designer for Never’s End. His previous notable works include Enter the Gungeon, Gang Beasts, Sludge Life, Disc Room and Samurai Gunn.

Josh van Rose

3D Art

Josh leads the charge in building our 3D pixel art world and characters with his passion for 3D modeling and classic 2D tactics games.

Kendal White

Writer

Kendal is the primary writer for Never’s End, calling on over a decade of game writing experience to unify the team’s narrative vision and bring its unique world, lore, and characters to life.

Quentin Hales

Engineer

Quentin works on Hypersect’s proprietary game engine and the systems needed to create the dynamic, procedural, and open world of Never’s End.

Sam Cappione

3D Environment Artist

Sam is a 3D artist that has contributed to Never’s End since the beginning. Sam brings years of experience to the team, from creating the environments of Skylanders to his current day job at Yacht Club Games.

Masayoshi Nishimura

Concept & Pixel Artist

Nishimura-san is the character concept artist and a 2D pixel artist on Never’s End. His talents have previously been featured in such titles as Triangle Strategy, Octopath Traveler, and Romancing SaGa Re: Universe.

Forrest Söderlind

Technical Animator

Forrest turns our 3D character models into animatable 3D character rigs. He was a technical artist at Bungie where he worked on both the Halo and Destiny games. He now works on VR at Endeavor One.

Silvia Zanotti

Community

Silvia oversees the Never’s End community and shares our latest updates with the world! She was previously working social media at Capcom on Monster Hunter Wilds.

Coleman Engbrecht

Engineer

Coleman is experienced in working at all levels of the technology stack from low-level machine code up to web system front ends, and helps develop the technology that powers all of Hypersect’s projects.

Autumn Burns

Animator

Autumn is a 3D animator who creates the sprite-like animations of Never’s End. She previously worked on VR games with Endeavor One and helped teach animation at DigiPen.
